Five Woodmere Yearlings will be sold off the farm in a soft close bid sale Sept 13-19th.
From September 13th- 19th we are offering a soft close bid sale on a group of 5 yearlings that are sure to impress with pedigree and conformation. These 5 and a random 4-5 in the Atlantic Classic Sale (to fill our 10 stalls) will be available for viewing on farm beginning Wednesday Sept 10. There is no reserve once the starting price has been achieved.
Soft close for the fillies will be on September 17th. Soft close for the colts will take place on Sept 19th.
Yearlings are all microchipped, gelded, vaccinated and boostered with Vetera 5XP, and dewormed.
- Please let us know prior to each yearling’s closing time that you are potentially interested in the horse; we are just trying to gather names and numbers, no commitment required at that point. - Soft close auction: The final sale of each yearling will begin at the posted time (ie. 17th @ 12:00pm for Fury) with the current active bid on the yearling. Anyone who had reached out prior to that time will be made aware of the current bid and have an opportunity to bid. People will have 15 minutes to respond with their bid if interested. Bidding increments will be a minimum of $500.00. The yearling will be sold when no bids are received for 15 minutes.
- We are asking for a minimum of 25% of the purchase price upon sale, the remainder can be paid upon pick up.
- Yearlings can be picked up anytime or stay at Woodmere until Nov 2 free of charge.
- Harness the Hope PEI will receive 6% of the purchase price for any yearlings sold through this process in lieu of the commission normally charged at an auction sale.

Woodmere FurySOLD $18,000
Congratulations Judy Profitt Woodmere Fury’s dam paced in ‘55 at 2 and went on to earn over $200K. We sought Do U Mind out the year Desperate Man won the North American Cup as her dam and Desperate Man’s dam are full sisters. Whether in a sale of 5 or a sale of 500 this filly would stand out amongst her peers. She’s stamped like all the gorgeous Captaintreacherous fillies that have topped sales and went on to be the best in their class at 2. She’s a powerful filly with the length we like to see. Smart and sensible, she’s bound to be a barn favorite.

Woodmere SwiftieSOLD $14,000
Congratulations Les Denney Swiftie is the 2nd foal from Much Adoo with over $400K on her card and a mark of 1:49.4. She is a similar made filly as Fury- carrying the width through her chest to her back end. Not quite as much stature as Fury, Swiftie makes up the difference with a little extra spark.
These two fillies are sired by the top bred Force N Fury, a Captaintreacherous son from My Little Dragon. Force N Fury is a brother to millionaires Stay Hungry and Treacherous Dragon, and took his mark of 1:50.2 as a 2 yr old. We acquired Force N Fury as a promising stallion for the Maritimes. Unfortunately he had a fertility issue and Fury and Swiftie are his only yearlings for 2025. |
Woodmere Rock ItSOLD $26,000
Congratulations Anthony MacDonald TheStable.ca This colt probably needs to be seen to be appreciated. As far as pedigree goes, Rock It is the real deal. His mother raced in an elimination of the Jugette, has a mark of '52 and over $150K. Rock It is a brother to Saddle Up with a mark of 1:50.1 and Rock It Out 1:49.4. In total, Rock It's siblings have made over $1,000,000. Hard to find this pedigree and production in any jurisdiction. Now let’s add Tobago Cays to the equation and you have a beast of a colt with a combination of pedigree and conformation to contend here and beyond!

Congratulations Roderick Gillis Quest is our first chance to sell a yearling from a dam that has already produced winners of over $2,000,000; including 2 with sub 1:50 records and 5 in 1:53 or better. A brother to the iron horse campaigner Rose Run Quest, Woodmere Quest is a long athletic, wide chested colt. We like his chances with his dam batting $100% and her best 2 from 'out of flavour' stallions!

Woodmere FergusSOLD $10,000
Congratulations John Likely and the Group of 7 Stable Perhaps the easiest to video as Fergus just floated out in the paddock. His dam Red Star Ashlee has already produced 2 winners with over 100K made right here in the Maritimes. Fergus is an all round flashy yearling. Throw in the fact that his mom is a sister to the great Bulldog Hanover. We like our chances for numerous photo ops in 2026 with this guy!
